Delightful service!!!! The food was great, Onion Soup is terrific. 7 of us came for the Salish 3 course meal. It could not have been nicer. Best food I've had in Port Townsend!
A change of ownership has not dimmed the bright star that is Alchemy Bistro & Bar. Whatever you order, it just might be the finest meal available in Port Townsend. The 'crab tots' from the starter menu are to die for — better than a crabcake, in my opinion. Our meals of the gnocchi with mushrooms and tenderloin medallions with scallops exceeded expectations. We'll definitely return! Update: We did return, and it's as splendid as ever. Our server, Rhonda, made the evening all the more wonderful. Again, do not pass up the 'crab tots' — simply to die for. The stroganoff special and New York strip were par excellence. Pricey perhaps, but worth every penny.
Wow I don't even know where to start. First when walking in this restaurant was the most aesthetically pleasing place ive ever seen. Perfect for instagram. There were even two little stuffed bears that were super cute. Despite coming in at a late hour with a large group of 8, the staff was extremely polite and welcoming. We had the chance of meeting the owner, she was so sweet and kind. Service was top notch and the food was also excellent. Usually when a restaurant passes out bread its cold and stale, however Alchemy exceeded my expectations, the bread was soft and had hints of sweetness and the butter smooth not heavy. I would recommend the Angel Hair pasta and Lamb Bourguignon as they were delicious. I would refer this place for anyone who decides to visit the town of Port Townsend. Best atmosphere ever!
Had a wonderful dining experience during the new 'Savor the Salish' promotion. My husband and I both ordered the French Onion soup to start, then a New York strip steak (tender and done to perfection), and finished with a lovely peach cobbler. I highly recommend Alchemy to you and your guests. The ambience is relaxing, the service was friendly, and the food outstanding.
We made reservations but the restaraunt was not that busy on a Saturday night at 7 pm. The food was very good and decent portions. Service was perfect. All of the staff were friendly, polite and professional. Recommendations from our server were spot on. I will eat here again next time I'm in town.
We had a light dinner consistenting ofa bottle of wine and shared small plates. They have a very respectable wine list. The Kumamoto oysters were fresh and tasty. The wedge salad was fabulous and the warm brie board was top notch.
Amazing dinner with equally amazing service here. Could not give our experience too many compliments The special of the day, seared tuna salade niçoise, was the perfect light but satisfying dinner option - earthy arguala, soft veggies, meaty tuna and zesty cherry tomatoes worked perfectly together. The popular choice dungeness crab and bacon fettuccine was truly decadent and post-meal snooze worthy. And the filet mignon - wow! Never have I had a medium rare steak so perfectly tender. The half dozen oysters were small and very flavorful and the sauceslemontabasco were all good pairings. Glass of house wine was truly excellent and came in a very generous sized portion too. And who can say no to complimentary sourdough baguette slices with butter? To finish it off, a zesty and boozy cake bottomed lemon mousse. Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable and all his recommendations were excellent. Definitely worth coming to if you're in Port Townsend! (Pst- Make a reservation ahead of time easily online!)
Thoroughly enjoyed food here. Favorites were the pate (really good with a glass of sauv blanc) lamb bourguignon and tornedos rossini. Rolls and dessert were also good. Only a 4 for service, simply due to timing. We were at the end of a busy dinner rush for server, so things were a bit longer than expected. Rhonda did great at communicating the situation and helped make our experience very pleasant.
